Dr. Daning Huang

Dr. Daning Huang joined Penn State in 2019. He received his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China in 2013 and earned his master’s and doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Since 2026/07, Dr. Huang is an associate professor.

Ph.D. Students

Jiwoo Song

Mr. Jiwoo Song obtained a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Physics with Honors Thesis option at Penn State in 2022, and subsequently obtained his master’s degree in 2024. He is now working on the nonlinear modal analysis of dynamical systems, as well as the multi-disciplinary modeling and optimization of aerial vehicles and rotorcraft.

Mr. Subarna Pudasaini graduated from from Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal, in 2023. He is now working on the reduced-order modeling of morphing aerial vehicles.
